“I am a creative who expresses through objects of adornment, shaped by a life of travel, art, and beauty.”
Jewelry
I serve as Creative Director of Evander Miami, a living jewelry design house devoted to objects of intentional adornment. Each creation begins as narrative, translated into form and gold. Colored gemstones become pigment upon a champagne canvas, where composition and meaning take shape. I create creations to be worn as stories, evolving with the lives of its owners. I believe jewelry is a vessel. It holds memory, honors a life well-lived, and preserves moments to be shared, cherished, and carried across generations.
Design
While jewelry is my primary medium, I explore various other expressions of adornment in art and design. I see adornment as a way of living, shaped by narrative and identity. I am inspired by classical silhouettes and literary masterpieces that I reimagine through contemporary painting, arranging spaces, and curating the clothing I wear.
Storytelling
Travel is my greatest source of inspiration. Through movement across places and cultures, I encounter new ways of seeing that inspires my work. I document these moments through analog photography, alongside written reflections on the people, environments, and their impact on my view of the world I take these documents and organize them into tangible expressions that reflect the curiosity I encounter beyond home.
Grounding
My life is grounded in faith, community, and care. Through my faith, I remain rooted in a shared spiritual life that shapes both how I live and how I create. This grounding brings a sense of clarity and meaning to my work, allowing it to extend beyond form alone. My connection to my church community offers a sense of place, held in shared values and relationships. Care also extends into the way I live with animals. I hold a deep respect for their presence and well-being, and I seek to support causes that reflect this. At the center of this part of my life are my two dogs, Mocha and Ketchup, whose companionship brings a daily sense of love for the little things.
A Few Things About Me
I was born and raised in Miami, a city that continues to shape my perspective and my work. Creating my jewelry here carries a sense of pride and connection to my home. I am a fan of film and literature. I return often to movies like Parasite and Social Network, as well as novels such as The Count of Monte Cristo and Wuthering Heights. Outside of my work, I spend time sourcing vintage furniture and objects, drawn to pieces that carry a sense of history. I am equally drawn to nature, especially flowers, and the quiet beauty they hold.
